I adapted one of my recent abstract artworks into a door graphic for the 3M Design Center. It uses diecut 3M Fasara Mirror1 film that is reflective on both sides. Then a layer of color gradient 3M Fasara on each side of the glass doors. It turned out pretty cool!

I went on a vacation with my parents to the Florida Keys for 10 days. It was nice to get out of Minnesota for a bit. We drove their big RV from Sarasota to the Florida Keys and stayed at a couple different resorts by the ocean. Good times!

The Spring edition of the St Paul Art Crawl is this weekend, April 26-28, 2019. I’ll be set up at the Schmidt Artists Lofts at 900 7th Street W, St Paul, MN 55102. The historic building has been renovated to live/work artist loft apartments. You should come out just to see the building!
The snow has finally melted! Today was the first ride of the 2019 season. Beautiful weather to get out on the Yeti. I went riding with Matt Desmond along my usual route along the Mississippi River.

The Fall edition of the St Paul Art Crawl is this weekend, October 12-14, 2018. I’ll be set up at the Creators Space in Lowertown St Paul. There are 20+ other guest artists showing their work at this building over the weekend. Stop in and get your art on! www.creatorsspace.com
The Creators Space renovation is completed. A total of 34,000 sq feet was transformed into a unique workspace. It includes a coffee shop, gift shop and commons area. You can also sign up for a membership to get access to photography studio, painting studio, conference center, yoga classes and a ton of other activities.
Nice day at the Minnesota State Fair. Fair food checklist: I ate a corndog, popcorn, french fries, corn on the cob, ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, Coke, Mountain Dew, cotton candy, and I think that’s it. I missed the mini donuts. Next year!

Come on out to the Minneapolis Institute of Art tonight for the Third Thursday: Design Night with AIGA MN. The name of the event is Make Design Weird Again. It runs from 6PM - 9PM in the courtyard of the museum. Chank is doing a type workshop, a panel discussion with several local designers, button making stations with Pantone chips, a live band and an ice cream truck.
I have a booth at the Powderhorn Art Fair this weekend, August 4-5. All of the artist booths are set up around Powdernhorn Lake. A big storm just came though last night and thankfully my booth is still in one piece. Original art and prints will be available.
